Overview

Lovingly Made Ingredients is a new ingredient manufacturing company based in Calgary. We produce textured plant-based proteins and starches to create unique properties for use in a variety of industries, including meat analogues, bakery, snacks and cereals. Our aim is to use local ingredients and produce great tasting food ingredients in the most sustainable way possible.

Lovingly Made Ingredients is looking for three (3) Full-Time Extruder Operators (NOC 94140)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $22.00 to $30.00/hour, with benefits.

This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to operate and maintain extrusion equipment efficiently while ensuring product quality and safety.

Job Description:

·         Operate and monitor extruder and supporting equipment to ensure optimal performance and product consistency.

·         Perform setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting of machinery as needed.

·         Maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

·         Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

·         Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs of equipment.

·         Operates tools to aid in the process of manufacturing.

·         Load raw materials and ensure correct recipe before production.

·         Performs periodic equipment checks and solves detected problems.

·         Direct team members to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

·         Observes and follows the company’s safety regulations and rules.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 1 year of experience as a machine operator in food extrusion or industrial manufacturing.

·         Having WHMIS certification and forklift licence is an asset.

·         Familiarity with extrusion machinery (twin-screw extruder for food) and process troubleshooting.

·         Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

·         Strong teamwork and communication skills.

·         Language in the workplace is English

Shift Details

·         Rotating shifts (including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends).

·         Flexibility is required to support production needs.
