Lovingly Made Ingredients is a new ingredient manufacturing company based in Calgary. We produce textured plant-based proteins and starches to create unique properties for use in a variety of industries, including meat analogues, bakery, snacks and cereals. Our aim is to use local ingredients and produce great tasting food ingredients in the most sustainable way possible.

Lovingly Made Ingredients is looking for four (4) Full-Time Extruder Operator Team Leads (NOC 92012)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $29.71 to $36.00/hour, with benefits.

This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to operate and maintain extrusion equipment efficiently while ensuring product quality and safety.

Job Description:

•         Lead and coordinate extruder operators and production staff to meet daily production targets.

•         Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot extruders and supporting equipment to ensure consistent product quality and efficient production.

•         Perform equipment setup, adjustments, changeovers, and minor repairs as required.

•         Assign tasks, provide guidance, and support team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

•         Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and company standards.

•         Load raw materials and verify correct formulations and recipes prior to production.

•         Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records in accordance with SOPs.

•         Train team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and standard operating practices.

•         Ensure routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of equipment.

•         Enforce workplace safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 3 years of experience as a machine operator in food extrusion, food manufacturing or industrial manufacturing.

·         Having WHMIS certification and forklift licence is an asset.

·         Familiarity with extrusion machinery (twin-screw extruder for food) and process troubleshooting.

·         Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

·         Strong teamwork and communication skills.

·         Language in the workplace is English

Shift Details

·         Rotating shifts (including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends).

·         Flexibility is required to support production needs.
