Automotive Service Manager

Overview

Kinfarm Tire Limited is looking for a Full-Time Automotive Service Manager (NOC 60020)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 36-50 hours per week, $44.23/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

·         Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficient workflow, timely completion of work, and high productivity

·         Review and approve work orders, diagnostics, and repair estimates for accuracy and cost-effectiveness

·         Lead advanced diagnostics of vehicle systems to identify complex mechanical and electrical faults

·         Assign and coordinate work based on technician skill level, shop capacity, and job priority

·         Supervise and support technicians and apprentices through coaching, training, and performance feedback

·         Perform advanced diagnostics, inspections, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems

·         Repair or replace automotive components according to manufacturer specifications

·         Test, calibrate, and verify repairs, including conducting road tests as required

·         Carry out scheduled maintenance and step in to perform hands-on repairs, especially for complex or high-priority jobs

·         Ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality control across all service activities

·         Communicate with customers to explain repair needs, timelines, and costs; resolve escalated concerns

·         Monitor shop performance (e.g., efficiency, comebacks, turnaround times) and implement improvements

·         Manage parts inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships

·         Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and safety regulations

·         Maintain accurate service records and a clean, organized work environment

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 5 years of diagnostic & repair experience, at increasing levels of responsibility

·         Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (or ability to obtain one)

·         Driver’s licence

·         Language in the workplace is English
