Machine Fitters

Overview

Formedge Inc. is looking for 3 Full-Time Machine Fitters (NOC 72405)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $36.00/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

·         Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine assembly operations

·         Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts (sub-assemblies for bolt/part formers)

·         Make final adjustments to machinery as required to ensure proper operation

·         Set up, operate, and perform full test runs on bolt/part formers

·         Install major components such as motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and perform their maintenance

·         Retrofit older machinery with the latest technology available in the forging industry

·         Inspect bolt/part former parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure quality and proper functionality.

Job Requirements:

·         One of the following:

o   Completion of a mechanical apprenticeship program, such as millwrighting, machining, pipefitting, automotive service or heavy equipment repair, OR

o   Completion of a four-year machine fitter apprenticeship program, OR

o   Completion of five years of on-the-job training

·         Language in the workplace is English
