Great Canadian Oil Change 1206 (Squamish) is looking for two (2) Full-Time Automotive Service Technicians (NOC 72410)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $36.50 to $37.00/hour, with benefits.

What you’ll do:

·         Inspect vehicles in operation and use computerized diagnostic tools and electrical diagnostic readers (OBD2) to retrieve engine codes, diagnose faults, and isolate system malfunctions

·         Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, including 18-point inspections, to assess mechanical, electrical, and safety conditions

·         Test and diagnose battery systems using electronic battery testing equipment and adjust or replace components as needed

·         Adjust, repair, or replace automotive parts and systems including fuel systems, drive trains, drive belts, spark plugs, and fuel filters using hand tools and specialized automotive repair equipment

·         Perform tire-related services including tire inspections, replacements, and related maintenance

·         Conduct scheduled maintenance services such as oil and fluid changes, lubrications, and filter replacements

·         Test and adjust repaired or serviced systems to ensure they meet manufacturer performance specifications

·         Review work orders and discuss findings, required repairs, and service priorities with supervisors

·         Advise customers on work performed, overall vehicle condition, and recommended future maintenance or repairs

How you’ll succeed:

·         Completion of training courses or a vocational program as automotive technician

·         Minimum 3 years of experience as automotive technician

·         You are friendly and ready to work as part of a customer-focused team

·         You can occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

·         Have full mobility and the ability to work with your hands above your head

·         Can stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs

·         Language in the workplace is English
