Overview

Sunnydale Foods is looking for two (2) Factory Maintenance Workers (NOC 73201)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 36-48 hours per week, $32.00 to $36.00/hour (negotiable), with benefits.

Job Description:

·         Assist in routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and basic repairs of plant equipment such as dryers, separators, pumps, conveyors, milling systems, and filtration units.

·         Help troubleshoot mechanical issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians.

·         Support preventive maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of completed tasks.

·         Replace basic components (belts, bearings, filters, gaskets) under supervision.

Follow HACCP, SOP’s and plant sanitation procedures to maintain a clean, food‑safe environment.
Assist with equipment disassembly and reassembly for cleaning and sanitation cycles.
Ensure tools and maintenance areas meet hygiene and allergen‑control standards.
Monitor equipment during production runs and report unusual noises, vibrations, or performance issues.
Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
Help maintain spare parts inventory and organize the maintenance shop.
Follow all plant safety policies, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and chemical‑handling procedures.
Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and hazard‑identification activities.
Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of previous factory/plant maintenance experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments.
Willingness to work in a food‑processing environment with dust, moisture, and varying temperatures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in tight spaces.
Experience in food manufacturing, agriculture processing, or industrial maintenance is an asset.
Familiarity with pumps, valves, pneumatic systems, or basic electrical troubleshooting.
Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, or other food‑safety programs.
·         Language in the workplace is English
