Senior Automotive Service Technician

Overview

Kinfarm Tire Limited is looking for a Full-Time Senior Automotive Service Technician (NOC 72410)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 36-50 hours per week, $40.00 to $50.00/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

• Lead advanced diagnostics of vehicle systems to identify complex mechanical and electrical faults
• Review work orders and inspection findings; determine repair versus replacement strategies in consultation with management
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to apprentices and junior technicians
• Communicate diagnostic results, repair recommendations, and technical concerns with supervisors and service advisors
• Perform and oversee road tests to verify customer concerns and confirm repair effectiveness
• Inspect, test, and evaluate automotive systems, components, and mechanical units to locate malfunctions
• Adjust, repair, or replace mechanical units and automotive system components according to manufacturer specifications
• Test, calibrate, and adjust repaired systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer standards
• Perform scheduled maintenance services and preventative maintenance inspections
• Inspect engines and vehicle systems during operation to assess performance and safety
• Complete detailed reports and documentation outlining diagnostics, repairs performed, and parts used
• Ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality control across all repairs
• Provide professional customer service by supporting accurate repair explanations and ensuring vehicle reliability

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 5 years of diagnostic & repair experience

·         Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (or ability to obtain one)

·         Driver’s licence

·         Language in the workplace is English
