Barber Supervisor/Shop Mentor

Overview

Tommy Gun’s Original Barbershop Kamloops Summit Centre Mall is looking for a Full-Time Barber Supervisor/Shop Mentor (NOC 62029)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Coordinate, assign and review the work of barbers

·         Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities with other work units or departments

·         Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports

·         Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies

·         Requisition supplies and materials

·         Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work

·         Monitor quality and production levels

·         Perform the same duties as workers supervised – cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences, and other barbering duties

Job Requirements:

·         2 years of experience as a Barber, with some supervisory experience

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         Paid service dollars and tips; or guaranteed minimum salary of $54,000 annually; whichever is greater.

·         Gratuities, commission on products sold
