Overview

The Bulldog Hotel & Grand Café is looking for a Full-Time Food Services Manager (NOC 60030)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week, $27.69/hour, plus tips and overtime as applicable.

Job Description:

·         Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate overall kitchen and food service operations

·         Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and sanitation standards

·         Plan menus in collaboration with management, including pricing, costing, and portion specifications

·         Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff

·         Ensure all employees are trained in job duties, food safety, sanitation, and safe operation of equipment

·         Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage based on business demand while controlling labour costs

·         Monitor staff performance and ensure performance evaluations are conducted in a timely manner

·         Establish and implement operational procedures for food preparation, handling, storage, and service

·         Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and adherence to standardized recipes

·         Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of all food and supplies

·         Monitor and control food costs, waste, and inventory levels to meet financial targets

·         Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage as required

·         Ensure all kitchen and restaurant equipment is maintained in good working condition through inspection and preventative maintenance

·         Establish and enforce cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen and storage areas

·         Ensure proper food holding and refrigeration temperature controls are maintained

·         Address customer feedback related to food quality and service as required

·         Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

·         Conduct regular team meetings and contribute to continuous operational improvement.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the food service sector

·         Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is an asset

·         Must be able to communicate clearly

·         Language in the workplace is English
