Stucco Plasterer (NOC 73102)

 

Superior Stucco in Lake Country, British Columbia is looking to hire six full-time permanent Stucco Plasterers in a career position for our business. We offer stucco work to a variety of individuals, companies and contractors. Superior Stucco offers an excellent team-oriented work environment.

 

Position: Stucco Plasterer (NOC 73102)

Wage: $37.00/hour

Location: Reporting to 10008 Okanagan Centre Road East, Lake Country, Canada V4V 1L1

Number of Available Positions: Six (6)

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours a week)

 

Job Duties:

 

·         Clean and prepare surfaces for application

·         Lift and carry 80+ lbs repeatedly and work in areas of construction, installation, repair and restoration

·         Prepare proper installation of materials including applying paper, wiring and general repairs and set up of scaffolding

·         Mix ingredients in trough to desired consistency for finishes, work, color, darbies, screeting and other forms of stucco applications

·         Apply, level and smooth coats of stucco using trowels, floats, brushes and spraying equipment

·         Trowel stucco over exteriors of buildings other work exteriors to form weatherproof surfaces

·         Be able to produce a flat wall and texture in stucco application

·         As required, apply decorative designs in finish and ensure corners and angles are finished

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience as a stucco plasterer

·         Plasterer Red Seal Certificate is an asset

·         Driver’s license with a clean abstract is a huge asset

·         Language in the workplace is English

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 

·         Strong knowledge of stucco application, materials and textures

·         Ability to work at heights and in a variety of settings

·         Ability to multi task and meet deadlines

·         Excellent ability to follow and carry out instructions

·         Reliable, organized and punctual

·         Clear and concise communication skills

·         Excellent team worker

·         Quick learner and ability to adapt in different situations
