Chicken Catchers

Overview

Sunrise Catching Ltd is looking for twelve (12) Full-Time Chicken Catchers (NOC 85100)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 35-40 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Set up equipment for safe operations

·         Guide chickens into loading area in a humane manner

·         Loading of poultry into holding crates on to transport truck

·         Work as a team to handle chickens without startling or angering birds

·         Manual collection of chickens

Job Requirements:

·         Experience working on a farm is an asset

·         Must be able to perform repetitive tasks

·         Must be physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting of approx. 40 lbs

·         Must be willing to work graveyard shift

·         Language in the workplace is English

·         $25.84 per hour starting rate plus wage increases on 6- and 12-month mark

Various locations in Fraser valley (Delta, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack). Office located at 13538 73rd Avenue, Surrey, BC V3W 2R6. Processing plant is located at 13542 73A Avenue, Surrey, BC V3W 1C9.
