Chicken Catchers

Overview

Sunrise Catching Ltd is looking for eight (8) Full-Time Chicken Catchers (NOC 85100)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 35-40 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Set up equipment for safe operations

·         Guide chickens into loading area in a humane manner

·         Loading of poultry into holding crates on to transport truck

·         Work as a team to handle chickens without startling or angering birds

·         Manual collection of chickens

Job Requirements:

·         Experience working on a farm is an asset

·         Must be able to perform repetitive tasks

·         Must be physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting of approx. 40 lbs

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $24.84 per hour starting rate plus wage increases on 6- and 12-month mark (max $26.91 per hour)
