Diamond Drill Operators

Overview

Omineca Diamond Drilling Ltd is looking for twenty (20) Full-Time Diamond Drill Operators (NOC 73402)! This is a full-time, seasonal position. Our season is June to October.

Job Description:

·         Be responsible for set-up and operation of all drilling related equipment, as well as maintenance and repair.

·         Train and supervise the Driller’s Helper, ensure that the helper maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig.

·         Ensure that the core presented to the geologists is clean and properly documented

·         Ensure the safety of themselves, the driller’s helpers and other crew on site and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

·         Keep accurate records as required by the company and the client.

·         Communicate with the foreman and geologists on a daily basis.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 2 years of experience as diamond drill operator.

·         The schedule is 4 weeks in camp, 2 weeks out. 84 hours per week (12-hour days, 7 days per week).

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $40.00 to $52.50 per hour (based on experience)

·         Drilling bonuses

·         Performance-based wage increases

·         Overtime pay after working 40 hours per week
