Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Nail Care Technician to join our professional team at ML Nails and Spa. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nail care services, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Nail Care Technician, you will be responsible for:

Nail Services

  • Provide professional manicures, pedicures, nail shaping, cuticle care, callus removal, and polish application.
    Apply artificial nails, gel nails, acrylic nails, nail extensions, and nail art designs based on client requests.
    Remove old polish or artificial nails safely and efficiently.

Client Care

Assess clients’ needs and recommend appropriate nail treatments, services, or products.
Ensure clients are comfortable and satisfied with services, maintaining a welcoming and relaxing environment.
Provide aftercare advice on maintaining healthy nails and prolonging services.

Health & Safety

  • Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, workstations, and spa areas in compliance with Alberta health and safety standards.
    Follow infection prevention and hygiene protocols, including sterilization of equipment.

Product Knowledge & Sales

  • Recommend and promote nail care products or spa services to clients.
    Keep up to date with new nail trends, techniques, and products in the industry.

Teamwork & Professionalism

  • Collaborate with other staff to provide an excellent customer experience.
    Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Employment Requirements

  • Completion of a Nail Technician or Esthetician program, or equivalent training/experience.
    Previous experience in a salon or spa setting is an asset.
    Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
    Knowledge of nail care techniques, nail art, and artificial nail applications.
    Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.

    Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
    Extended periods of sitting while performing services.
    Repetitive tasks and some standing/walking.
