Head Chef

Overview

Lemongrass Vietnamese Restaurant is looking for a Full-Time Head Chef (NOC 62200) to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week. We offer year-round and seasonal positions.

Job Description:

·         Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of Lemongrass Restaurant

·         Consult with clients regarding banquets and specialty functions

·         Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards

·         Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs

·         Supervise activities of chefs and cooks

·         Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

·         Recruit and hire staff

·         As needed, prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation

·         Experience with Asian cuisine is an asset.

·         Language in the workplace is English – Basic English/ESL is ok

We offer:

$36.60 per hour
