Child Caregiver

Overview

Javed Family is looking for a Full-Time Child Caregiver (NOC 44100)! This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week.

Job Description:

•         Provide attentive, nurturing care for the employer’s 18-month-old child in the employer’s residence

•         Ensure the safety, well-being, and daily supervision of the toddler at all times

•         Bathe, dress, diaper, and assist with toilet-training as developmentally appropriate

•         Prepare bottles and age-appropriate meals and snacks; feed the child according to parental instructions

•         Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in areas used by the toddler

•         Plan and carry out structured daily routines, including meals, naps, playtime, and rest periods

•         Support the child’s emotional security and social development through positive interaction and engagement

•         Teach and encourage age-appropriate personal hygiene habits

•         Provide developmental and educational stimulation through activities such as reading, music, sensory play, crafts, games, and supervised outings

•         Use discipline methods consistent with the parents’ guidelines and the child’s developmental stage

•         Accompany the child to appointments, playgroups, or outings as required

•         Perform light housekeeping duties related to the toddler’s care, including cleaning toys, washing bottles, and tidying play areas

•         Maintain daily records of the child’s activities, meals, naps, and any health or behavioral observations

•         Interact appropriately with the family’s 7-year-old child when necessary, without assuming primary caregiving responsibility.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 6 months’ experience in childcare or working in a domestic setting

·         First aid certification

·         Experience taking care of a premature baby is an asset

·         This is a live-out position

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $166.80 per day, 5 days per week

·         Schedule of Monday to Friday. Weekends off
