Overview

Inland Technical Services Ltd is looking for two (2) Full-Time Testing and Balancing (TAB) Agents (NOC 22301)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week.

As a testing and balancing agent, you will be responsible for verifying the performance of HVAC equipment and making appropriate adjustments to achieve the design requirements. This technical work requires a strong mechanical aptitude, integrity, writing technical reports from field data collected and the ability to work independently in the field to represent the company in a professional manor. Through testing and balancing experience, it is intended that our candidate would eventually move into a commissioning position, or supervisor. This will entail organizing and scheduling coordination meetings, field operational checks, design review and verifying DDC sequences.

Responsibilities

Verify the performance of HVAC equipment and make necessary adjustments to meet design requirements.
Write technical reports based on field data.
Represent the company professionally while working independently in the field.
Calculate and conduct drive changes and speed adjustments to pumps and fans.
Prepare job files within our database and excel spreadsheets.
Assist with onsite functional testing and site reviews.
Instrument calibration and various office tasks including formatting and creating testing documents.
Job Requirements:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in a related field (engineering technology, mechanical engineering/technology/technician, engineering-related fields) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience
Completed journeyman ticket in an HVAC related trade an asset (Note apprenticeship hours are not available through this trade).
Mechanical background with the educational requirements to eventually achieve an AScT designation is an asset.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and with integrity to ensure things are done correctly.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Ability to work out of town during the work week. Rare occasional weekend and evening work may be required but is generally avoided.
Interest in Kelowna/Kamloops and the lifestyle amenities they offer.
Valid Drivers License.
