Caregiver

Overview

Igel Family is looking for a Full-Time Caregiver (NOC 44101)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $20.00/hour.

Job Description:

·         Provide care and companionship for an elderly individual (90 years old)

·         Assist with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming

·         Aid in mobility and ambulation to prevent injury or falls

·         Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including special dietary requirements

·         Feed or assist in feeding as needed

·         Provide medication reminders and monitor general health

·         Perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings and collecting specimens

·         Offer supervision throughout the day to ensure safety and reduce confusion or disorientation

·         Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, making beds, and keeping the client’s living space clean and organized

·         Maintain a calm, supportive presence to reduce anxiety and ensure emotional comfort for the client.

 

Job Requirements:

·         Completion of a training program in care of elderly, or equivalent work experience.

·         Experience taking care of people with dementia is preferred

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:
