Metalworking Machine Operator

Overview

Hutson Metal Mfg is looking for a Full-Time Metalworking Machine Operator (NOC 94105)! This is a full-time, permanent position with minimum 30 hours per week, $37.00/hour.

Job Description:

·         Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut and shape metal according to specifications.

·         Load and align metal materials on machine beds for processing.

·         Interpret work orders, drawings, and CNC programs to determine cutting requirements.

·         Monitor machine operation and adjust settings (e.g., speed, amperage) to ensure quality and efficiency.

·         Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications.

·         Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and make necessary adjustments.

·         Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and replacing consumables.

·         Remove and handle finished materials and maintain production records.

·         Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating standards.

Job Requirements:

·         Completion of high school or equivalent

·         Minimum 1-2 years of experience in metalworking or operation of CNC plasma cutting machines

·         Language in the workplace is English
