Metal Fabricator

Overview

Hutson Metal Mfg is looking for a Full-Time Metal Fabricator (NOC 72104)! This is a full-time, permanent position with minimum 30 hours per week, $35.00 to $37.00/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

·         Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference lines on material, using ruler, compass, divider, and scriber.

·         Study engineering drawings and blueprints, determine the materials required, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently.

·         Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods.

·         Set up and operate various heavy-duty metal-working machines such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form heavy-metal components.

·         Inspect and examine workpieces for defects, and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

·         Maintain and repair sheet metal equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

·         Smooth edges of cut or drilled workpieces, using deburring or other hand tools.

·         Install and secure sheet metal in position for permanent fastening.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 2 years of experience as Metal Fabricator or related

·         Language in the workplace is English
