Boom Pump Operator

Overview

City Pumping Ltd is looking for a Full-Time Boom Pump Operator (NOC 73400)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $36.60/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

·         Operate heavy equipment (boom and pump) as required to place concrete in desired locations

·         Load and unload concrete pump equipment and attachment

·         Evaluate site conditions and set up truck appropriately

·         Use and care for tools and equipment associated with and including concrete pump and truck

·         Drive a concrete pump truck to and form construction sites located throughout Greater Victoria and surrounding areas

·         Comply with safety regulations and precautionary measures while operating concrete pump – protect self and others by following work safe procedures

·         Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to the machinery

Job Requirements:

·         Completion of a one- to two-year apprenticeship program OR minimum 1-2 years of experience operating concrete pumps (line pump and/or boom pump)

·         Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record, or ability to get one

·         Strong knowledge of concrete pumping equipment and industry best practices

·         Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on concrete pumps

·         Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 lbs

·         Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

·         High attention to detail and safety awareness

·         Ability to work flexible hours and weekends when required

·         Language in the workplace is English
