Kitchen Manager

Overview

Carevo Home Healthcare is looking for a Full-Time Kitchen Manager (NOC 62020)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week, $36.95/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

·         Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food

·         Supervise and check assembly of regular and special meals and delivery of food to recipients of care

·         Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation

·         Prepare food order summaries for kitchen staff according to requests from dieticians or recipients of care

·         Establish work schedules and procedures of kitchen staff

·         Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

·         Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures

·         Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

·         Participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets

 

Job Requirements:

·         Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline OR minimum 3 years of experience in food preparation or service

·         Language in the workplace is English
