Cooks

Overview

Britannia Brewing Steveston is looking for two (2) Cooks (NOC 63200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 35-40 hours per week, $20.00 to $22.00/hour, plus gratuities.

Job Description:

·         Planning and memorizing recipes, policies, procedures, and standard portion sizes

·         Preparing ingredients and components of each recipe on the restaurant’s menu

·         Preparing and cooking complete meals and dishes

·         Clean kitchen and work area

·         Maintaining freshness of product and rotating old product out

·         Working with a team of Cooks to handle varying levels of activity

·         Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times to avoid contamination

·         Storing prepared and unprepared food items and maintaining an inventory

·         Preparing for food service

·         Being aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines

 

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience

·         Professional and responsible conduct

·         Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

·         Teamwork skills

·         Good verbal communication skills

·         Organizational skills

·         Language in the workplace is English
