Overview

Black Diamond Bar & Grill is looking for a Full-Time Executive Chef (NOC 62200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Design innovative and seasonally appropriate menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer expectations

·         Oversee the development of new recipes and presentation styles

·         Supervise the entire kitchen operation to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and safety

·         Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards

·         Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed

·         Recruit, hire, and train kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks, and other culinary personnel

·         Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations to kitchen team members

·         Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture

·         Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes

·         Conduct regular quality control checks on food preparation and storage

·         Manage food costs, portion control, and waste to ensure profitability

·         Work with procurement to source high-quality ingredients within budget

·         Track inventory and control stock levels to minimize loss and over-ordering

·         Coordinate with restaurant management, front-of-house staff, and suppliers

·         Design and execute custom menus for special events, private dining, and holidays

·         Work directly with clients or event planners to fulfill specific culinary requests

·         Ensure all food is prepared and stored according to health code regulations

·         Conduct regular safety drills and maintain kitchen staff certifications

·         Stay up to date with culinary trends and integrate new ideas into the menu

·         Address guest feedback related to food and dining experience

·         Occasionally interact with guests to gather insights and enhance the dining experience.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial food preparation, with supervisory capacity

·         Some training/education in culinary arts or related

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $47.50 per hour
