Overview

Black Diamond Bar & Grill is looking for a Full-Time Assistant Restaurant Manager (NOC 60030)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Assist in overseeing daily kitchen and restaurant operations to ensure efficient workflow and service.

·         Supervise back-of-house staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants, to maintain food quality and consistency.

·         Monitor kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

·         Coordinate with the head chef on menu execution, portion control, and food presentation.

·         Assist with inventory tracking, ordering ingredients, and maintaining adequate stock levels.

·         Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items to minimize waste and spoilage.

·         Participate in staff recruitment, training, and scheduling for kitchen personnel.

·         Help implement standard operating procedures for food preparation and kitchen safety.

·         Monitor kitchen equipment performance and arrange repairs or maintenance as needed.

·         Support cost control initiatives by managing kitchen labor, reducing waste, and optimizing prep processes.

·         Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients within budget.

·         Step in to lead kitchen or restaurant operations during the manager’s absence, ensuring continuity of service.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the food service industry, with supervisory capacity

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $36.60 per hour
