Overview

Big Lake Eatery is looking for three (3) Full-Time Cooks (NOC 63200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $24.00/hour.

Job Description:

·         Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

·         Monitor and check cooler temperature all shifts

·         Take orders from the wait staff and prepare food according to customer preference

·         Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and order

·         Monitor and manage cooking tools and ingredients

·         Make adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns

·         Set up work station and preparing for the day

·         Comply with company policies, ensure all meals goes out fresh as the first one

·         Ensure that utensils are used correctly and put away properly

·         Ensure kitchen is open on time

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 2 years of experience as Cook

·         Previous experience preparing consistent, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment

·         Must be able to bake and make meals from scratch

·         Excellent time management skills.

·         Must be able to portion accurately

·         Knowledge of Jamaican and North American cuisine is an asset

·         Language in the workplace is English
