Cooks

Overview

Bernie’s Kelowna is looking for five (5) Full-Time Cooks (NOC 63200) to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent position with minimum 30 hours per week, $19.00 to $21.00/hour plus tips and benefits.

Job Description:

·         Prep food during the day to prepare for evening dinner service

·         Prepare, cook, and present meals

·         Prepare and cook specialty dishes

·         Keep working stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours

·         Work in all stations in the kitchen (ie Pizza, GM, Pans, Dish) as assigned during busy times

·         Work under time pressure while making sure quality, safety and sanitation standards are followed

·         Assist with monitoring and ordering of supplies

·         Work under direction of Executive Chef

·         Clean kitchen and work areas throughout the day and at the end of evening

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 2 years of commercial cooking experience

·         Willing to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong communication and teamwork skills

·         Must be able to lift heavy objects, work near hot ovens and grills, and stand for extended periods of time

·         Must be available to work mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays

·         Must be reliable and responsible

·         Must be able to do repetitive tasks

·         Must be able to read and write English
