Responsibilities
Tasks
· Follow and abide by Baker Work Flow Checklist;
· Create prep lists based on par sheets and special order requirements;
· Ensure all food products are prepared, baked and garnished to company standards and readily available for
· purchase;
· Ensures the completion of special and pre-orders on time and as per the company standards;
· Maintain required inventory level of product to meet store demand – blinds, hand pies, fruit pies, etc.
· Communicate with Bakery Manager inventory requests, equipment needs, product quality concerns;
· Supervise and assign tasks for production staff;
· Ensure company checklists are completed (temperature, sanitizer, safety, inspections, etc.);
· Inventory control- create and submit orders as per company procedures;
· Follow company recipes as directed by the Owners and Bakery Manager;
· Maintain a high degree of cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping and
· mopping, etc.;
· Ensure all food products are date stamped and stored properly ;
· Assist with unloading deliveries to the stores and ensure proper storage of new product – follow first-in/first out
· procedures;
· Organize walk-in cooler and freezers, keeping a clean and well-organized inventory of products;
· Understands, abides and enforces corporate operational policies and standards, including health and safety, safe
· work practices and government regulations;
· Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring forward any suggestions for improvement;
· Maintain high personal hygiene standards and assist Front of House with customers as needed;
· Perform other kitchen duties as directed
