Diamond Driller Helpers – Surface Mining

Overview

Omineca Diamond Drilling Ltd is looking for twenty (20) Full-Time Diamond Driller Helpers – Surface Mining (NOC 75110)! This is a full-time, seasonal position. Our season is June to October.

Job Description:

·         Folllow the Driller’s direction to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

·         Manually handle heavy drills rods (50-80 lbs) multiple times per shift.

·         Present clean and properly marked core to the geologists.

·         Keep the work area safe, clean and free of hazards.

·         Maintain and organize equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and other drill related equipment.

·         Assist in the setup operation and tear of the drill rigs and all related equipment.

·         Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of the drills and all related equipment.

·         Assist the driller and other team members where required.

Job Requirements:

·         Previous experience is an asset.

·         The schedule is 4 weeks in camp, 2 weeks out. 84 hours per week (12-hour days, 7 days per week).

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $28.50 to $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

·         Drilling bonuses

·         Performance-based wage increases

·         Overtime pay after working 40 hours per week
