Hours: 35 hours per week (with flexibility during peak periods)
Wage: $36.5 per hour

Restaurant Operations
-Assist in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily restaurant operations.
-Support implementation of operational procedures for efficient sushi and Asian cuisine service.
-Monitor workflow between kitchen and service areas to ensure smooth operations.
-Assist in determining service standards and operational processes to maintain food quality and consistency.
Groceries
Staff Supervision & Scheduling
-Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen and service staff.
-Support preparation of staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
-Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to support productivity and service quality.
-Ensure staff compliance with workplace policies and operational standards.
Inventory, Purchasing & Cost Control
-Assist in controlling inventory of food, beverages, and specialty sushi ingredients.
-Monitor revenues, food costs, and labour costs and report to senior management.
-Coordinate with suppliers for food, seafood, and restaurant supplies.
-Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of inventory.
Customer Service & Quality Control
-Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
-Ensure consistent service standards and guest satisfaction.
-Monitor dining room operations to maintain a welcoming environment.
Health, Safety & Compliance
-Ensure compliance with provincial health, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
-Monitor cleanliness and food handling practices.
-Support enforcement of workplace health and safety procedures.
Administrative Support
-Assist in preparing operational reports and performance summaries.
-Support catering, group bookings, and special events when required.
-Assist senior management with ongoing operational improvements.
Employment Requirements
-Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, is required.
-Experience with sushi or Asian cuisine is a strong asset.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
-Completion of a college diploma or post-secondary program in hospitality, restaurant management, or food and beverage service management is an asset.
