Accounting Technician

Overview

Banner Recreation and Marine is looking for a Full-Time Accounting Technician (NOC 12200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

·         Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts

·         Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive efficiencies

·         Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills

·         Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards

·         Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents

·         Prepare tax returns

·         Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 1-2 years of experience

·         Minimum completion of High School. College/university degree in accounting is an asset

·         Must have full cycle accounting background

·         Previous experience in the automotive industry (or related) is an asset.

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $52,000.00 annual wage

·         Full benefits package after 6 months working for us.
