Kot Auto Group – Kelowna Kia is looking for a Full-Time Automotive Service Technician (NOC 72410)! This is a full-time, permanent position.
Job Description:
Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.
Note any other repair, maintenance, or safety concerns observed on customer vehicles and advise service desk
Perform work as assigned on work orders with efficiency, safety, and accuracy in accordance with dealership, factory, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed
Maintain cleanliness of service bays and equipment used and shop area generally
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of related work experience
Preferable to be a licenced Automotive Red Seal Technician, but not required
Ideally completed the automotive service technician apprenticeship and be accredited to work in BC.
Apprentices should have completed some training and be working through the 4-step program to become a red seal.
Language in the workplace is English
We offer:
$34.62 flat rate fee per hour, equivalent to 30-40 hours per week
