Drywall Installers

Overview

Roc City Drywall is looking for three (3) Full-Time Drywall Installers (NOC 73102)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week.

Job Description:

·         Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings

·         Install drywall sheets (boarding) on walls and ceilings

·         Tape and finish drywall joints using joint compound and taping tools

·         Install insulation materials in walls and ceilings as part of thermal and soundproofing systems

·         Construct steel stud framing for interior partition walls and ceilings

·         Install suspended ceiling systems, including T-bar grid ceilings

·         Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists

·         Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners

·         Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency in troughs

·         Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster using trowels, floats, brushes, and spraying equipment

·         Clean and prepare surfaces prior to plaster or drywall application

·         Finish corners, angles, and decorative surfaces as required.

Job Requirements:

·         Minimum 2-3 years of related work experience

·         Must be knowledgeable in any or a few of the following: framing, insulation, boarding, taping, texture, t bar

·         Language in the workplace is English

We offer:

·         $30.00 per hour OR piecework pay per square foot completed

·         Mileage pay for any work outside of Kelowna area

·         Benefits after 3 months: Dental, extended medical, RRSP program

·         Performance-based wage increases

Job Location:

Various work sites primarily in the Kelowna, BC area. Office located at 3511 Lakeshore Road Kelowna BC, V1W 3K1.
