Overview

Sandrine French Pastry & Chocolate is looking for two (2) Full-Time Pastry Chefs (NOC 62200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $20.50 to $24.00/hour, with benefits.

Job Description:

Create and bake a variety of French pastries, cakes, croissants, and chocolates
Ensure quality and consistency on all chocolate production, pastries, and baked goods
Work with management to create new chocolate menus seasonally
Complete weekly inventory of items (and let management know when items are needed to be ordered)
Create and develop new pastry recipes
Daily production and preparation of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods for store and ATM’s
Work with management on production schedules to meet the demands of the business
Review production schedule with management on a weekly basis
Ensure that all products are made in a timely manner and to the highest standards
Maintain high standards or cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed
Conduct regular quality checks on all products
Train and supervise junior staff members.
Job Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of proven experience as Pastry Chef
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and trends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Strong organization and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Language in the workplace is English
