Production Technician

Overview

This position is full-time with regular hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Opportunities for overtime arise based on project volumes.

Identity Ink is a dog-friendly workplace, and dogs ranging from 10-80lbs are onsite most workdays.

 

Wage: $20.00-$25.00/hour

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately completing work orders, and documenting progress.
• Maintaining communication with management to relay progress and concerns.
• Operating machinery related to finishing, including laminators, slitter, and contour cutter.
• Laminating, cutting, and trimming digitally printed and off-the-roll films.
• Mounting films on various substrates.
• Digital colour matching per client specifications.
• Ongoing quality control.
• Packaging materials for shipping and coordinating via FedEx, courier, and customer pickup.
• Receiving product.
• Tracking and tracing active shipments.
• Maintaining worksite cleanliness and safety, including equipment maintenance.
• Other duties as directed by the operations manager.

 

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a print shop environment and/or production/fabrication is an asset.
• Forklift certification/experience is an asset. Forklift operation is required in this position.
• Comfortable using various computer programs related to work duties.
• Able to lift up to 50lb.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to excellence and quality of service.
• High school diploma.
