Position Summary

Number of Positions: 2

Material Handlers are integral to the operational efficiency of our food processing facility. They are responsible for managing the seamless flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished products throughout the production lifecycle. Key duties include receiving, organizing, and transporting these materials within the plant. The proficiency of Material Handlers is critical in preventing supply chain interruptions, which are essential to avoid production delays, minimize waste, and mitigate safety risks. Ultimately, Material Handlers form the foundational support of our plant, enhancing both the productivity and the quality of the products we produce.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Loading and packing shipping containers using an Automated Bag Spitter

·        Operating forklifts to help load containers, move product and other items in the warehouse

·        Loading and unloading bulk truck and trailers

·        Move empty and loaded containers and trailers to and from the loading docks

·        Daily cleanup tasks to keep the plant and warehouse clean and tidy

·        Transfer products between grain bins

Skills and Qualifications:

Licenses: Possession of Class 1 and Class 6 licenses is considered an asset, although not mandatory for employment at Arjazon Seed Trading.
Experience Level:

Practical Experience: Experience operating forklifts, loading freight containers, and driving trucks and trailers is beneficial but not a requirement for employment at Arjazon Seed Trading.
Reporting Line:

The individual in this position will play a critical role in our operations team and will have the following reporting structure:

·        Direct Report: Plant Floor Supervisors

·        Secondary Report: General Manager

·        Management Responsibilities: None; this is a non-supervisory position without management responsibilities over other employees.

 

Employment Type: Full-time 30 hours a week minimum

Salary Range: $25 an hour

Work Hours:

Employees are provided with flexible scheduling options to suit their needs:

Minimum Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
Operating Hours: Plant operational hours are from 6 AM to 10 PM
Shift Preferences: Employees may select their preferred shifts and hours within the operational hours. Options to work extended shifts exceeding 8 hours per day are available.
