Job Summary:
Maintenance Mechanics- Helper are indispensable in our automated food processing plant due to their vital roles, which include:
· Maintenance and Repair: Regular maintenance and timely repairs are crucial to keep automated machinery functioning smoothly. Mechanics address any mechanical issues promptly, reducing downtime and maintaining continuous production flow.
· Optimization of Equipment: Mechanics fine-tune machinery to maximize operational efficiency. This optimization is key to enhancing productivity and minimizing waste during the food processing process.
· Safety: In an environment where hygiene and cleanliness are paramount, mechanics ensure all equipment operates correctly. This is essential to prevent accidents and avoid any potential contamination of food products.
· Troubleshooting: Advanced automation does not eliminate the occurrence of machinery issues. Mechanics are skilled at quickly identifying and resolving these problems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
· Upgrades and Modifications: To keep pace with technological advancements and evolving industry standards, mechanics undertake necessary upgrades and modifications to equipment. This adaptability is crucial to meet changing consumer demands and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our facilities, including:
Maintenance Tasks:
· Conduct regular maintenance and general upkeep of all grain cleaning machinery.
· Maintain and oversee the general upkeep of all automated equipment.
· Handle maintenance and upkeep of heavy equipment, including semis, yard trucks, and forklifts.
Design and Integration:
Assist the Mechanic Foreman with designing and integrating new equipment into existing processes.
Technical Maintenance:
Perform electrical wiring tasks and maintain sensors on automated equipment.
Operational Support:
· Participate in weekly maintenance meetings to discuss updates, challenges, and strategies for equipment management.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mechanic shop to ensure a safe working environment.
· Manage parts inventory and keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
These responsibilities are critical for ensuring that our equipment runs efficiently and safely, supporting our overall operational goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates for this role should possess a range of mechanical and electrical skills:
· Essential Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanics and electrical systems is required for employment at Arjazon Seed Trading.
· Preferred Qualifications: Advanced mechanical and electrical skills are highly beneficial. Possession of a Mechanic Level 3 certification or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience Level:
Candidates interested in this position should meet the following educational and experiential requirements:
· Education: A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Experience: Alternatively, candidates may qualify with several years of experience in mechanical and electrical fields, demonstrating relevant skills and knowledge.
Reporting Line:
The individual in this position will play a critical role in our operations team and will have the following reporting structure:
· Direct Report: Plant Floor Supervisors
· Secondary Report: General Manager
· Management Responsibilities: None; this is a non-supervisory position without management responsibilities over other employees.
Employment Type: Full-time 30 hours a week minimum
Salary Range: $25 an hour

Work Hours:

Operating Hours: Plant operational hours are from 6 AM to 10 PM
Shift Preferences: Employees may select their preferred shifts and hours within the operational hours. Options to work extended shifts exceeding 8 hours per day are available.
